Texas! The Vacation of Choice...

We decided we would take a family vacation and let the kids decide where we would go.

We asked if they would rather go to Disneyland, San Diego or Texas to see their cousins.

To our surprise they said... Texas!

Disneyland's got nothin' on spending time with cousins!

So, we booked our flights and made the trip to see "the cousins". The kids did great on the plane(s) and of course, we had a lot of fun. The kids all enjoyed spending time together just hanging out - they didn't care what we did, they just enjoyed being together. They played lots of video games, performed a talent show, played outside-when it wasn't raining, we ordered take-out fajitas from my favorite restaurant: Papasito's, went to an Astros game and painted plaster art projects at a cute paint shop for kids. We also drove by our old apartment there and the Houston Temple which is just down the street. It is amazing to me how beautiful our temples are. Every one is majestic and unique. It is good to see a new temple every once in a while - it helps me appreciate the importance and beauty of all of them so much more.

The highlight of the trip may have been when our long-time friend, April, brought over her famous chocolate cake! Yum! -or when Ryder shattered Tony & Monique's glass patio table... Hmmmm... that's a tough call. (Sorry about the table Tony.)
