What??? Summer is over???

Boy, have I been a blogging slacker! This summer has been so busy and suddenly it is... GONE! Where did all those days go I planned to take my kids to the pool and have an immaculate flower garden? Hmmm, there is always next year - right?

Good thing our kids get a good thrill out of playing in a rainstorm! Cheap Entertainment and it takes care of the bath too!

Well, we ended our summer with our yearly trip to Carlsbad, CA...

Ahhhh.... I LOVE Lake Powell! This year we went 5 star and did the house boat thing.

Needless to say, I think it will be hard to ever camp again!

We are already knee deep into fall with homework, carpools, London's football schedule and I have a HUGE box of peaches the peel and make into jam. Also, the slew of October birthdays is about to hit so I must start shopping & shipping soon. (You know who you are!)

Ryder's first day of preschool - ever! He's not even 3 yet! His carpool is the cutest thing ever!

IKE UPDATE:
Tony & Monique were hit by Ike and have been without power for over a week. Their home was relatively unharmed and they consider themselves blessed. They expect to have power again maybe Thursday or Friday. That will be 2 weeks! Thank heavens for the council we have given to prepare for emergencies! Their generator has saved them and has helped others too. I told Tony to just move here and avoid all that hurricane stress in the future. I don't think he's taking me up on it though.

(Speaking of preparing... I gotta hit the case lot sales this week and restock my food storage.)

Carter and I celebrated our anniversary tonight- 11 years!

And our first one without Bosco. I have been missing him lately. (boo hoo.)

I am looking forward to my Grandma Nana getting better soon and

my Gramps and Grandma Gunn returning from their mission in a month from now!

Oh and Macey is a maniac crawler, climber, stander (while holding onto unstable furniture that usually ends up on top of her). Why do these babies need to grow up??? Stop it!
